DESCRIPTION:Good Shepherd is committed to helping those experiencing homelessness and hunger in our community through our involvement with the H.O.P.E Foundation\, Inc. (hopefdn.org).  H.O.P.E.’s efforts aim to help restore faith and hope by Helping Others Pursue Excellence. \nGood Shepherd is supporting our neighbor’s experiencing homelessness by preparing and serving meals over the next six months (May – Nov. 2026). Volunteers will serve as part of a team\, working together to plan and prepare a meal for about 60 recipients; a subset of the team will deliver those meals to 2-3 designated drop-off locations in the community on our appointed Sundays. \nSign Up Here

SUMMARY:Women's Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:The Bible study will include a discussion from the Gospel lesson from the upcoming Sunday using a one-page Synthesis guide. The discussions draw from personal experience\, questions and insights about the lesson\, and from the wealth of knowledge shared by the attending individuals. No previous Bible Study experience is needed. Regular participation is encouraged but not required as each session stands alone. The class is casual\, non-judgmental\, conversational in tone\, and welcomes diversity of all backgrounds. DESCRIPTION:We have been awarded this opportunity to offer a week-long Puppet Theater Summer Camp to the Underground Performing Arts Collaborative (UPAC) for youth in Grades 6–12. This program will culminate in a public performance parade\, showcasing participants creativity and celebrating their hard work. We are grateful and excited to be able to pursue this project due to the generosity of the Diocese of Southern Virginia. \nClick HERE for More Details & Registration Info. \nCamp Imagine will run July 7–18\,2026  \nCamp Imagine is a two-week creative adventure in puppet-making\, theater\, and expressive arts for youth ages 11 – 17. \nWeek one will take place at Good Shepherd (7400 Hampton Blvd) from 4–8 pm\, and dinner will be included. \nWeek two Parade in the Park will take place during the day.
