Youth Opportunities

Youth Ministries at Good Shepherd are high-energy programs designed to facilitate creative, life-changing experiences for Middle School and High School youth. The ministry includes service projects, mission trips, Diocesan Retreats, Sunday Morning groups and Confirmation Class, that both comfort and challenge kids in today's wild and crazy youth culture. Vacation Bible School 2009

Challenges for body, mind, and spirit as we look at friends in the life of Jesus, and in our lives each day. All children ages 4-5th grade welcome. Nursery and Three year old group for Parents who are helping out. Older elementary (rising third-5th) will have a class of their own, with leadership in drama, music, recreation and art.

July 20-24, 9am to Noon—Register Now!
$35 per child. Cost limit per family: $65.

Please consider your ministry in the church by dedicating a day to the children if you are an adult (you can help in story, recreation, art, or snacks, greetings-or just being here in an intentional way) or if you are a youth willing to serve in this way please contact Tricia McKee right away in the church office. Children’s registrations are still welcome through July 15th.

The Eastern Shore Mission Trip will be June 14th to 18th

Sunday June 14, 8 youths and 4 adults will be journeying across the water to places called Pungoteague, Melfa, Eastville-The Eastern Shore. Their course will be to establish community with St. Stephen’s Cathedral of Harrisonburg PA. and to establish community with the people of the Eastern Shore by working on a home to improve someone’s life, and seeking out the ecosystems of this area so full of resources in the Chesapeake Bay. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers for their journey.

Youth In The News…

Last night a crowd of youth came out and began working on an awesome flaming Pentecost fire hanging for Sunday. The crew got so excited they decided going to do a repeat tonight!

Any Jr. or Sr. High youth that want to join in tonight-COME ON! Folks will be here anytime from 5:30-8:00. It will be a wild time. (oh yeah- and plenty of pizza) call, txt, or Facebook Ben if you have questions.

Belize Exchange Picnic Sunday night

Great News! We are maxed! We have seven youth and four adults ready to head to Belize this summer. The group will be in Belize from July 10th through July 17th. There will be a cookout at the home of Molly and Tim Parsons for youth and parents this Sunday night at 5:00 PM.
